A holy trip. An ultimate pilgrimage. Kailash Mansarovar Yatra takes you far beyond what imagination can prepare you for. This is the sacred homeland of Lord Shiva, and the very land where the first Jain Tirthankara, Adinath ji Bhagwan, attained salvation and gave the message of Jainism to the world. That alone tells you why this journey holds the highest reverence in both Hinduism and Jainism. And for followers of Buddhism, Kailash Mansarovar is no less divine. Thousands of pilgrims travel here every year, drawn by faith that no words can fully explain.
The Government of India has long recognised how significant this Yatra is for mankind. Not only does it facilitate travel, but it also extends financial support to eligible Indian pilgrims who undertake this spiritual journey. The Ministry of External Affairs organises travel through two official routes: Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand and Nathu La Pass in Sikkim. Beyond these, trips are also organised by private operators via Lucknow, Kathmandu, and Lhasa. If you are considering a private tour company, please make absolutely sure it is recognised by the Government of India before you commit. You may browse verified Kailash Mansarovar Tour Packages and book online. For subsidy claims, you will need to contact the designated officer in the State Government of your residence.
